הסט כולל 5 מטבעות עוברים לסוחר במצב Uncirculated, שהוטבעו במיוחד עבור סדרת חנוכה. בכל המטבעות מופיעים שנת ההטבעה התשנ״ג, חנוכייה זעירה והכיתוב “חנוכה” בעברית ובאנגלית.
הסט שמור בתוך האריזה הצבעונית המקורית, שעוצבה במיוחד עבור ההנפקה ומציגה את סמלי חג החנוכה, הסברים על מקור “דמי החנוכה” והקשרים בין עיצובי המטבעות לממצאים ולמוטיבים היסטוריים מארץ ישראל.

מה מיוחד בסט?
זהו סט חנוכה ייעודי, ולא אוסף מקרי של מטבעות מחזור. המטבעות הגיעו מהטבעה מיוחדת עבור הסדרה, כשהמאפיין המשותף להם הוא סימון החנוכה הייחודי.
המהדורה הוגבלה ל־8,000 סטים בלבד, נתון שמופיע גם על האריזה המקורית.
האריזה עצמה עוצבה על ידי אליעזר ויסהוף, והיא חלק בלתי נפרד מהפריט האספני. לצד המטבעות מופיעים הסברים בעברית ובאנגלית על המוטיבים העתיקים, חנוכיות מהמאה ה־19 ומנהג דמי חנוכה.

English Description
Official 1992 / 5753 Israel Hanukka Gelt Uncirculated Coin Set, issued by the Bank of Israel.
The set contains five legal tender coins in Uncirculated condition, specially prepared for the Hanukka issue. Each coin bears the Hebrew year 5753, a tiny Hanukka menorah, and the word “Hanukka” in Hebrew and English.
The coins are housed in the original colorful presentation folder, which explains the historical motifs appearing on the coins and includes information about the Jewish tradition of Hanukka Gelt.

5 New Agorot – 19.5 mm, 3 g, bronze.
Design based on an ancient column capital from the Kingdom of Israel.
10 New Agorot – 22 mm, 4 g, bronze.
Design based on an ancient coin depicting a seven-branched menorah from the period of Mattathias Antigonus.
½ New Sheqel – 26 mm, 6.5 g, bronze.
Design based on a seal associated with Ma'adana, daughter of the king, from the Kingdom of Judah.
1 New Sheqel – 18 mm, 4 g, copper-nickel.
Design based on a coin used in Judea during the Persian period bearing the word “Yehud”.
5 New Sheqalim – 24 mm, 8 g, copper-nickel.
Design based on a column capital from the period of the Kingdom of Israel.
Special Limited Issue
This is not simply a collection of regular circulation coins. The coins were specially prepared for the Hanukka set and share the distinctive Hanukka inscription and tiny menorah.
Only 8,000 sets were issued.
The original presentation folder was designed by Eliezer Weishoff and forms an important part of the collectible set.
