Historical Interest

This set represents the closing period of Israel’s old Sheqel currency, shortly before the introduction of the New Israeli Sheqel in September 1985.

It combines standard circulation designs with commemorative portrait and Hanukkah issues, making it a particularly attractive complete set for collectors of Israeli numismatics and Judaica.
