A beautiful set comprising 3 historical "Fractional Currency" banknotes from the Arab Republic of Egypt. These smaller-denomination notes were issued directly by the Egyptian Ministry of Finance (rather than the Central Bank). (Note on Dating: All notes bear the text "Issued under Law 50/1940," but the actual year of issue is determined by the specific Minister of Finance's signature on the front).

Set Details:

• 10 Piastres (National Unity Design) – 1980s Issue: The obverse features soldiers, workers, and farmers marching together under a flag. It bears the signature of Salah Hamed, Minister of Finance in the 1980s. The reverse displays traditional red and green geometric patterns.

• 10 Piastres (Pyramids Design) – Early 2000s Issue: The obverse features the Great Sphinx and the iconic Pyramids of Giza. It bears the signature of Medhat Hassanein, Minister of Finance from 1999–2004. The reverse showcases the Muhammad Ali Mosque in Cairo.
