שטר אספנות מיוחד בערך של 50 שקלים חדשים, שהונפק על ידי בנק ישראל בשנת 1998 (התשנ"ח) לציון חגיגות שנת ה-50 להיווסדה של מדינת ישראל. בחזית השטר מופיע דיוקנו של הסופר וחתן פרס נובל ש"י עגנון כשהוא עובד בחדר עבודתו, לצד ספריו, בתוספת כיתוב הנצחה ייחודי למהדורה זו: "התשנ"ח 1998". בגב השטר מוצג איור גרפי יפהפה של קו הרקיע והחומות של העיר ירושלים. השטר מוצג ונשמר בתוך מארז המקור המהודר של בנק ישראל, הכולל איורים של פרחי שקדייה, סמל מנורת שבעת הקנים והכיתוב הממלכתי "שטר מיוחד לשנת ה-50 למדינת ישראל, התשנ"ח 1998". מצב השטר נראה מצוין (מומלץ לבחון את התמונות, נראה כ-UNC - לא היה במחזור). פריט היסטורי נהדר לאספני שטרות ויודאיקה.

Description (English): A special collectible 50 New Sheqalim banknote, issued by the Bank of Israel in 1998 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the State of Israel. The obverse (front) features the portrait of Nobel Prize-winning Hebrew author S.Y. Agnon in his study, alongside his books, and includes the unique commemorative overprint: "1998 התשנ"ח". The reverse (back) displays a beautiful graphic illustration of the Jerusalem skyline and city walls. This banknote comes beautifully presented in its original, elegant Bank of Israel commemorative folder, which features imagery of almond blossoms, the Menorah emblem, and the official inscription "Special Banknote for Israel's 50th Anniversary 1998". The condition of the banknote appears excellent (please refer to the images, appears to be crisp UNC - uncirculated). A wonderful historical piece for paper money and Judaica collectors.
