An original Israeli Hanukkah coin with a nominal value of 10 Lirot, from the year 5737 (1977), from the Bank of Israel's Hanukkah coin series.
One side: Jerusalem Hanukkiah — an ornate and richly detailed Hanukkiah with a row of oil fonts, alongside the inscription "Hanukkah" and "From Jerusalem."
Second side: The nominal value "10 Lirot," the name of the state "Israel / ISRAEL" in Hebrew, English, and Arabic, and the years 5737 and 1977.
Background: Each year, the Hanukkah coin was dedicated to a different Hanukkiah from Jewish communities in the Diaspora and in Israel. This coin features a typical Jerusalem Hanukkiah and was minted in silver.
