Oboda Medal – Nabataean coin 9–40 CE, bronze

Bronze medal dedicated to Avdat in the Negev – one of a series showcasing cities in the Land of Israel alongside their ancient currency.

One side: Remains of the Nabataean city of Avdat – a stone gate, broken columns, and a terraced wall, alongside an olive branch and wheat stalks, and a bird below. Above them, the inscription Avdat, and below, AVDAT.

The other side: In the center, in a circular depression, an enlarged replica of a Nabataean coin from 9–40 CE, with a Nabataean script inscription between two cornucopias. On the medal's rim: Nabataean Coin with the Hebrew years 3669–3700, and in Latin NABATAEAN COIN 9-40.

Material: Bronze. Condition: Well preserved, natural patina, reliefs are sharp and inscriptions are fully legible.
